In the mountain areas of this village wild and shy mouflons wander around while in the sky the golden eagle soars above the woods. At a lower altitude Flumendosa Lake is the destination suitable for people who enjoy adventurous kayak excursions; otherwise, in the surrounding valley there are many lanes for those who like trekking into uncontaminated nature.
If you are ready to put the clock back, try to visit the archeological site of Ruinas, a nuraghic structure built around an ancient and big nuragh, which is set in a highly panoramic area. At Perdixi you can see the incredible 'domus de janas', tiny tombs inside the rock with a very low roof ('domus de janas' means 'house of the fairies').
Beyond environmental protection of a very wide territory, local people are involved in old crafts, like hand-loom weaving and knives working. In July, a village fair celebrates the oldest source of survival, sheep-breeding, and a sheepshearing competition called 'sa tundimenta' takes place.
